The European Test Symposium is host in "Casa de Convalescencia", an historical monument from the late XIX century. It is one of the buildings of the great complex of the "Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau".

The complex was designed to alleviate the shortage of hospitals in Barcelona. The hospital of "Santa Creu", dating from 1401 and situated in the old city center (Casc Antic) had become obsolete due the city's growth and breakthroughs in medicine.

The construction of the "Casa de Convalescència" was supervised by Pere Domènech i Roura. Initially he worked with his father, Lluís Domènech i Montaner, and then took over as supervisor after the latter's death in 1923.

The building, which was used for convalescent patients, with a maximum capacity for 100 residents, featured stunning glazed solariums and a chapel, which split the building into two wings, one for men and one for women. The "Casa de Convalescència" was independent of the Hospital, having its own kitchen and pharmacy, as well as its own financial management.

Hotel Alimara is at 30 minutes from the conference center by public transport (direct bus line V23). It is in the upper side of the city close to the mountain. It offers single rooms (167€ per night) or double rooms (179€ per night), special rate for conference attendees. Hotel "AYRE HOTEL ROSELLÓN" has exhausted the availability of reservations for the days of the conference. We are working to find a second hotel with discounted rooms rate for the conference attendees. It will be announce soon in this web page. Sorry for the inconvenient.

Hotel AYRE HOTEL ROSELLÓN has informed the ETS22-OC that have been disruptions with the promo-code indicated below. They are working to solve the problem.
